MPact-Thales the consortium appointed to design, build and maintain extensions to Manchester's Metrolink is to hold a procurement conference on October 20 in Manchester.

The ticket-only event is open to all businesses who feel they offer a product or service that might be necessary in the construction of the extensions. Some £200m of contracts will be on offer.

The company says the conference is a key way to communicate to its requirements to potential partners.

MPact-Thales comprises three companies: Laing O’Rourke; Thales and GrantRail.
