Manchester congestion charge referendum to be held
Monday, 28 July 2008

The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities is to hold a referendum on its proposed £2.7billion Transport Innovation Fund (TIF) package, which would be part paid for by a congestion charge.

Residents will be asked one question about the package and asked to cast a “yes” or “no” vote. The referendum is expected to take place in December.
